The Hamlet of Fort McKay is located 65 kms north of Fort McMurray, on the west bank of the Athabasca River. The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo (RMWB or the Municipality) operates the Fort McKay Water Treatment Plant (WTP). RMWB engaged a Consultant to complete a Preliminary Engineering report of Fort McKay Water Supply Infrastructure Rehabilitation (February 2021). This report recommended a new intake structure on Ells River and associated pipeline. The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to hire a consulting company for the design of raw water intake structure, pump house, access road, pipeline, associated regulatory approvals, crossing agreements, notifications, and land acquisitions recommendations. |
