The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo would like to engage a vendor to fly, capture, and provide LiDAR for a total area of 612 km2, to be collected within a single continuous flight area centering on Fort McMurray. The Municipality utilizes the LiDAR in numerous ways including the creation of 3D structures, the creation of terrains, the creation of contours, and the creation of drainage and flood models. All deliverables that apply must strictly conform to the guidelines set forth by the United States Geological Survey’s LiDAR Base Specifications version 2021 rev. A. All deliverables must be completed in 2022 with LiDAR capture preferred before full leaf coverage which occurs mid-late May at this latitude.
